I have a Sunrise Surf & Talk that can be used in a tablet or notebook. The SIM refuses to work in a router. Does the Surf & Talk work in such a USB dongle?

The SIM card cannot determine what kind of device it is in. If it does not work in the router, there are really only these possibilities:
- The router has a SIM lock and only works with a certain provider.
- The SIM card is inserted the wrong way round or has no contact with the pins.
