Joule Performance Raid Alcantara
Joule Performance Raid Alcantara
I have a Nobel Chair that is a bit hard. I wanted to change to this one because everyone says it's comfortable. But I don't see how it's measured, whether people just find the style comfortable, or whether it's the cushion that's soft and comfortable. That's what I'm wondering. Has anyone had a Nobel Chair before and can give a direct comparison?
I had a Noblechairs Epic for about a year, and sold it for exactly the same reason: the seat was too hard for me (especially the front edge). The Joule Performance is now a lot more comfortable for me, the seat is a bit softer and not so stiff, and the Alcantara is also more flexible than the Noblechairs synthetic leather. Otherwise, the two chairs are quite similar. I'm glad I switched to the Joule Performance, which is definitely more comfortable for me.
I don't actually own a Nobel Chair, but my flatmate does. I have just sat down on his chair to test the difference directly. It should perhaps be noted that my Joule Performance is in constant use (home office) while his is used for a maximum of 2 hours a week. I would still say that my chair is slightly more comfortable than his. The leather of Nobel Chair is much firmer, which might be related to the genuine leather. In addition, the Alcantara leather has a "fluffy" surface, which could lead to me finding it more comfortable.
In my opinion, however, you should think twice about changing, because the difference is really not huge. Unless your Nobel Chair is broken or very old. Personally, I would prefer a Joule Performance to a Nobel Chair again. You should definitely keep the Nobel Chair cushions, because the Joule Performance ones are not nearly as "comfortable".
Attention! Everyone has their own perception of comfort. This is my opinion only and may be considered wrong by others.
