I have a HP Omen 45 l which has a 2 terabyte m2 Western digital drive. I have a HP Omen 45 l which has a Western digital m2 of 2 tera I would like to buy a second M2 tera but my knowledge is limited. I'm looking for a second M2 tera, but my knowledge is limited. I'm looking for a very large radiator on the original one, which I haven't found in Switzerland yet. It is marked on the motherboard for the second slot heat sink required so in your opinion is it possible to buy the one https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/wd-black-sn850x-2000-go-m2-2280-ssd-21635316 and add this heat sink which I suppose is compatible or another heat sink that you can advise me or then I put the one https://www.digitec.ch/fr/s1/product/wd-black-sn850-with-heatsink-fuer-ps5-2000-go-m2-2280-ssd-21477797 without anything? of the remainder for the latter can we add a heatsink in addition is it possible and is it useful to something? As you can see my knowledge of m2 is limited, thank you in advance for your precious and efficient help from the community as often

Helpful answer

I forgot to mention that my HP Omen is the one on the HP OMEN 45L Gaming DT GT22-0959nz PC shop
I would not like to miss out on this one by making a mistake in my order at the end of the month, which could be complicated
Thanks a lot.

Hello, M2 SSDs only get hot when you copy data for a long time. If this happens to you, it's possible that your SSD will start to run at idle speed so as not to heat up any more, but there's no risk of damaging this component. You can therefore choose an M2 SSD without a heatsink.
