I have a 55" screen and am looking for a bracket that can be swivelled 180° or 90° to either side. Is it possible with this bracket or which one can I use?

Yes - this is possible before the mechanics of the TV mount, but I would definitely recommend the "Vogels Wall 3450" for 55"!
I use both. The 3450 (solid) is more stable, rotates better and does not "bounce" as much when moved. -> Ideal

Yes, that is possible in principle. However, note the length of the TV. If it is longer than the entire fold-out arm of the bracket, the TV will be up against the wall. P.S. The maximum angle is 90 degrees ;-)
