Question about Denon AVR-X1700H DAB

I have 2 (or 3) connection problems. Maybe my TV is too old? - Macbook Pro M1 connected with an HDMI cable. That doesn't work at all. Sound and video "come through", but freeze all the time! - A DVD player/VHS combo with Scart and https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s1/product/smart-scart-to-hdmi-konverter-analog-digital-video-converter-11886750 Only the sound "comes through" - DAB and FM do not work at all with the aerial supplied (no service).
