I don't have Wi-Fi at home. I always use my mobile phone hotspot. Does this pose a problem for the setup/daily use of the scale?

As far as I can see, the scale needs Wi-Fi to upload the data to your Fitbit account. This is not done without a suitable Wi-Fi network. I have never tested whether it only works via BlueTooth. For me, it works perfectly via WLAN (Ubiquity offers great WLAN products ;-)).
