I can't rate the cable, I don't know anything about HIFI, but the strands are thicker than a cheap cable. Question: how many degrees can the material withstand without having to re-lay it every year?

You don't have to change the cables every time. I've been using the device for over a year and have never had to change anything.

I once read that the thicker the cable, the better the quality of the sound (thicker cable -> less resistance -> less loss -> better sound).
