Lenovo 45W standard power supply (USB Type C)
45 W
I bought this charging cable and tried to charge my laptop with it, but the message comes up that the charging power for my Lenovo Extreme (1st Generation) is too weak and only charging during hibernation and switched off is possible.... If anyone knows a workaround please let me know.
Hello, you have to check which charging cable came with your device, because there are two strengths, one with 45W and the other with 90W. Mine came with the 45W, and it works perfectly.... I don't want to know what would happen if I would charge it with the 90W:-) be glad it was the other way round with you. LG
It worked for me, maybe you have the laptop version with a stronger battery ? it might need a higher charging current.
There is no workaround. The power supply unit simply does not deliver more power. However, there is a 65-watt standard power supply unit. This may be sufficient. It is not much bigger and heavier than the 45-watt one.
