I bought the Zyxel NR7101 router and put it into operation. The Ethernet connection with a conventional patch cable is not possible! The space is extremely tight (between the RJ45 socket and the housing). I had to cut open the plug of the patch cable and angle the cable rather unattractively so that I could fit the whole thing back into the enclosure. Is there a special connection cable or what do you recommend?
Hello Bruno I have had no problems with the use of
"Swisscom patch cable

Hello Bruno
I had no problem with it. You also have to take out the last black ring with the thread, then you can pull the cable through, plug it in and screw the ring back in.
Greetings Daniel
Hi Burno, I don't know what you've tinkered with, but I had no problem at all going in with a normal Lan cable, you don't have to cut anything open here. The device works incredibly stable for me, since 2 years or when I bought it. You have to restart it once every 2 months, that's all. I bought a power butler with SIM and I can switch the device on and off by text message if I notice the speed is too slow, then it reconnects with the tower and becomes fast again. A reboot is often good for you :D Good luck
