Question about Lenovo Precision Pen 2

I am stuck at one point. I have a Lenovo M10 Gen.3 Plus. According to Lenovo, I can use this tablet with the Lenovo Precision Pen 2. I bought this pen. Now I have the following problem: I cannot connect the pen to the tablet. My assumption is that the pen is defective. But I would like to rule out incorrect handling. LED indicator goes on when charging. Orange and then white. According to Lenovo, I should be able to enter connection mode by pressing and holding the top button. LED flashes white. But I never get into this mode. I have also connected the pen to the Lenovo via cable. Am I making an operating error or is the new pen defective?

The pen uses AES technology. This means that it does not connect to the laptop via Bluetooth, but directly to the touchscreen as soon as you are about 2cm or closer with the tip of the pen. Writing is fine with it. The buttons work (for me) if I switch on the "Hover click" slider in the Lenovo pen settings on the laptop and am close to the screen with the tip of the pen (so that a small marker dot is displayed).

Thank you for your reply.

The problem I see is that the pen does not start flashing. I cannot go into connection mode from the pen. When charging, the LED indicator works.

I cannot remove the pen battery as it is integrated and charged with USB C.

Please ensure that Bluetooth is also switched on on the PAD:

Pair the active pen
Click on Add Bluetooth device (on the PAD) . ...
Press the upper button on the pen until the LED flashes white.
Select Bluetooth from the list.
Select the Lenovo pen to start the pairing process.

You could try deleting the Bluetooth connection from the M10 and the pen once and then restart the tablet. Then remove the battery from the pen and reinsert it once. Then try to pair the pen with the device again.
