I am somewhat undecided, is it worth buying even if no compatible PC is available and only the standalone functions are used?

Yes, then especially. If you want to game with the PC, there are probably alternatives. But as a standalone solution, it's simply top. I only use it that way and even after 3 months and regular use, I'm still thrilled.

In any case, the standalone function is worth it. There are many great games and watching videos (e.g. Youtube) is simply brilliant. I can recommend the Oculus Quest 100%.
The connection to the PC via Oculus Link simply expands the possibilities. (nice to have)
