The assistant can be set to German with the Google Home app. However, Google does not yet have a partner for messages in Switzerland. Therefore, there is no German (Switzerland). With "Hey Google, Good morning" you will get the time, weather and your appointments for your place of residence, but with the news you will only hear German news. Everything else works perfectly in my experience. However, I use Google Home in English (UK), so it would be BBC New, as certain commands are simpler and shorter in English and the assistant sounds less technical.
