Question about Apple Thunderbolt to

I am looking for an Ethernet adapter for my MacBook Pro Retina 15" from late 2013 and am wondering whether this adapter really fits. I can't see from the picture whether the connector at the front is correct, but I don't know what this connector is called either. It looks thicker than the Lightening connector. That makes it a little complicated :) Many thanks for your help
