I am looking for a new disk for a game console (PS3). Since these are particularly temperature-sensitive, it would be good to know what the operating temperature is.
I have installed this hard drive in my INTEL NUC, which, as you know, does not have a cooling fan. So far I haven't had any problems, but I can't say exactly how high the operating temperature is.
According to the description, most of the WD 2.5" hard drives have an operating temperature of up to 60 degrees.
According to Western Digital, practically all hard drives have the same operating temperatures. The manufacturer also offers a PDF file with specs on its website.
Logically, the retailer must provide the same information and guarantee its accuracy, after all, Digitec sells for its own account and profit. But Digitec employees sometimes see things differently. It is therefore advisable to generally check directly with the respective manufacturer for binding information. This will save you unnecessary hassle.
