Question about ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 Flip OLED

I am actually an Apple user and want to buy my daughter a Mac Book Air 15'' for school, but the school prefers Windows computers with a pen ..... Is this notebook suitable for school and of similar quality as a Mac Book Air; or would you suggest another device (with pen and touch screen, up to approx. 1800 CHF, 15 inch screen)? I see that this is a 12th generation Intel and currently Intel is already delivering the 13th generation of CPUs; is it worth waiting for the new CPU generation and how long could it take?

I bought my son the new "15" MacBook Air" because he is starting a design apprenticeship. My daughter got the "ZenBook Pro 15 Flip" because she is starting a commercial apprenticeship. So I was able to compare the two devices well. The ZenBook scores points with the touchscreen, with the sturdy case and that the ZenBook is around 1000 sFr cheaper than the MacBook. Of course, the MacBook has small features that are nice. But to pay 1000 sFr. more because of that?
So I can highly recommend the ZenBook Pro. Waiting for the 13th CPU generation makes no sense in my opinion. There will always be a newer generation...

Hi there, funny enough my son choose this for exactly the same reasons I wonder if they go to the same school..... We can strongly recommend is a great machine better than a Mac Book in my opinion. No reason to wait for the 13th generation this is powerful enough for school.
