I already have the Google Home Max box and would now like to set up boxes in the kitchen and possibly in the children's room. Is it possible to listen to different music on the different boxes?

This is basically possible as long as your streaming provider allows multiple streams (or you use different providers). I use Google Play Music as my main provider. This only allows one stream. However, I can stream music from Google on one speaker and listen to the radio on another. In general, the number of radio streams does not seem to be limited.
