Question about Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag2

I actually wanted to get trackers that support Google's Find My Device. However, many people online think that it works relatively poorly. Out of curiosity, I did the following with my old Samsung S21: No SIM card in it, WLAN/Bluetooth activated and took the device with me. I have the new S24 with me, but with Bluetooth/WLAN deactivated and with mobile data. The idea was to check whether my S21 could then be found by other devices and whether I could find it on my S24 with the updated location. Within 4 days, Samsung Find has received just 3 status updates, but Google Find My Device has received at least 50 updates. Of course the tracker and the mobile are two different things, but the fact that the recognition works so differently is somehow surprising, isn't it?

The Bluetooth trackers connect to other devices and transmit the approximate GPS information of the mobile device to Find-my-Network. From the next Android version (15), as has been the case on Apple products for years, it will no longer be possible to switch off the Bluetooth function, or at least not without great effort. As far as I know, Google is hoping to improve Bluetooth tracker devices.
For my part, I think it already works pretty well today.
