How long is the bridging cable? Our battery has a distance of about 40-50 cm between anode and cathode.
The max. distance between - pole and + pole should not be more than 50cm. The cables are therefore quite short.
Not quite. If the positive and negative poles are not allowed to be further than 50cm apart, the cables from the output of the adapter to the "teeth" of the clamps are each only 25cm long.
