I have the ES2 lite and already have 667.8km on the speedometer and it rides like day 1, I think the MAX version can easily handle the 5x 12km / week. It is a much more robust model and with the much larger battery you need fewer charging cycles, i.e. battery wear is much lower.
I have had my Xiaomi M365 for 1.5 years and have ridden it for 2'100 km. Some repairs were necessary (new hook for folding mechanism, new brake pads and disc, 5 hoses, buffer for handlebar). I would assume that the Ninebot Max is more stable and no longer has so many teething problems. Battery deterioration so far not dramatic. Especially in winter less range. And below 40% charge there are problems when going uphill. Maximum speed has not changed.
