How hard is it to replace a Seagate IronWolf (2TB, 3.5") with a Seagate IronWolf (6TB, 3.5") and reconfigure it with my data?

Is this your 2nd HD for data or is the operating system on it?
If the 2nd HD is for data, simply plug them both in at the same time, so you have 3 and simply transfer the data!
If the operating system is on it, then disconnect your old one, attach the new one and install the operating system and then you can connect your old one as a slave.

I recommend an SSD for the operating system! That is the cleanest and fastest!
200 GB is more than enough for an SSD, you can get it for free, otherwise a somewhat larger one!

You have to make partitions out of a 6TB anyway if you want to put the operating system on it! Otherwise the size is not so cool with mixed data!
