If you press the "power button" for longer (10 seconds) and then again as when switching on, nothing happens? no Mac gong? When the power supply is plugged in, does it light up (green or orange)?

And of course you don't have another power supply unit to test (you only ever take the one with you)... 
I would go to an Apple shop: istore or refix (or a shop of your choice from Google).
