Hi,... question about SSD installation. Will the Corsair MP600 fit in the PCI 4.0 slot? See you install the SSD in a PCB that plugs into the board. But this PCB has a hole, so I ask if the heatsink of the MP600 is not too thick?
No, it definitely doesn't fit. But you have two options:
1. remove the heatsink of the MP600. This way it fits without problems and you can use the heatsink of the so-dimm card. It has thermal pads on it, but you shouldn't tighten it too much, otherwise the ssd will be bent a bit (they somehow didn't manage to make the spacers high enough).
2. you simply install the SSD without the cover/heatsink of the so-dimm card. But then it can get tight, because directly below is the graphics card and possibly the CPU cooler on top. In addition, the top cover is also the diffuser for the LEDs with the ROG logo, so you can forget about them.
Hope this helps you a little. If you need exact measurements, I can also measure them...
