Question about HighPoint SSD7101A-1 RAID Controller
Hi. Is this bootable? e.g. could I mount this in a system that had no other drives, and proceed to install OS (Windows 10) on it?
Just if anyone is reading: The card provides in general four M.2 Slots in a PCIx16 Slot. Think of it like an adapter with Software to create the RAID. The bios recognizes the four SSDs separately. So, if the OS has NVM drivers, you can boot from ONE SSD. Because like I said, it is a software raid configured in the OS, not in the BIOS. So you can boot from one and create a RAID for the other 3 SSDs. You cannot boot from a RAID because it is no hardware RAID.
