Hi, I was going to buy this strap to be more comfortable and also to have an extra battery for my Meta Quest 3, but I've just thought of something, the strap has to be connected to the headset using usb-c and sometimes I'd like to play with my quest 3 on a PC and use the questlink cable which is also connected to usb-c, so I can't use the 2 simultaneously? (The strap + the battery and the questlink cable connected to the PC?)

Helpful answer

It's either the BoboVR battery or the PC cable, not both.

Solution 1:
Disconnect the small cable from BoboVR and charge using the questlink cable while playing. Under certain conditions, the questlink cable may not provide enough current to keep the Quest 3 charged. If this is the case, use a USB 3.1 cable with an additional power supply (available from Digitec) instead.

Solution 2:
Play without a cable, using Virtual Desktop. With the right equipment: a 6E 5 GHz wifi router connected to the PC via a gigabit ethernet port, the speed is better than with cable. Ideal, especially for stand-up gaming.

When I play on the PC in MSFS, Meta Quest 3 charges via the PC using the Quest Link cable. Then I don't need the battery.
I only need the battery in stand-alone mode.

The strap connects via USB-C to use the extra batteries. But when you're plugged into the PC, you don't need a battery 😉

And if you want to use the Bobo S3's fan, you can either find a splitter adapter that splits the USB connection, or simply plug the strap's socket into a battery, or connect the battery to the strap just to power the vent.
