Hi, I just got it and installed it in my PC (took out the old HD and attached it to the same connections). It seems to have power, but it is not shown as a drive. Any suggestions? I tried it on other connections in my tower, which worked fine with the old HDs. Thank you!

Hello Pascal. Which operating system are you using and which mainboard are you using? It could also be that the new disc is not formatted. Have you looked at the Disk Manager?

A bios update of the mainboard may help.

Older mainboards or other components may not be compatible with such large capacities. My suggestion: Make a system backup (with Acronis or similar), then remove all HDDs and experiment with different BIOS settings. I also had problems with my new Ryzen 9 system and in the end it only worked with a certain BIOS mode (keyword Legacy vs UEFI BIOS). However, I'm not sitting in front of it, so I can't tell you which mode is compatible for me. Good luck!
