Question about ASUS ROG Strix X670E-I Gaming Wifi
Hi, I don't quite understand about the Hive. Is it supposed to be an external sound card and it MUST be connected if you want to have sound (listening and talking)? What happens if I connect the wireless USB plug of my headset to the mainboard or monitor without the Hive? I will not have room for external devices in my future setup. But I would like to have the functions of the X670E-I chip. LG

It's basically an external sound card. But you don't have to use it, and I don't either. The USB dongle from the headset also works without Hive. All audio devices connected to USB or via the monitor work without Hive.
