Hello, It should work with most Samsung TVs 2022 and newer without the HDMI sync box. For older Samsung TVs or any other brand, you need the sync box, but then will be limited to using the light strip to only what is plugged into sync box. Hope that helped.

Use the syncbox with an older Samsung. The strip kept failing until I set the resolution on the AppleTV to (4K) 60Hz SDR. Since then everything works great.
