Can I connect this notebook to a docking station with a good monitor and still get good graphics on the monitor? Or are there always losses due to the cables in between? Has anyone installed such a set-up?

that's no problem, i even had my g9 samsung connected. ps. this is not a "normal" laptop, it's a machine :). you won't be disappointed.
