Hey, Have a small question regarding the AsRock A520M-ITX/ac motherboard. I want to build my first PC powered by a Ryzen 5 5600g (Yes I know it's an APU). Now the only problem I have is that I don't know what BIOS version this board comes with. On the PC Partpicker website it says that this processor is only compatible with the latest BIOS version. But if it doesn't have the latest BIOS update, I can't upgrade it either and the mainboard would then be useless. My question is whether there is a way to find out which BIOS version the mainboard comes with and whether mainboard comes with and whether it is possible to upgrade it somehow if it is the wrong version. It would be nice if someone could answer this question for me :)
Hey!
I also assembled my first PC 2-3 months ago with this mainboard + Ryzen 5 5600G (primarily for work). The mainboard came with the oldest BIOS version, (1.10). I naively just put everything together and the PC ran initially. Later in the day I installed some drivers, then it crashed. Anyway:
On the manufacturer's homepage you can download the latest BIOS firmware (1.80) and put it on a USB stick. Somewhere in the BIOS menu you can then load the firmware and update it. I would say that this is also possible without a CPU being installed, but to be honest I have no idea.
After the BIOS update + restarting Windows+Linux, everything is now running smoothly :)
Good luck!
Did it work? Because I am doing the same thing.
My A520M-ITX/ac delivered on 9.6.21 had BIOS version P1.10
