When I plug in (wired) headphones and set the sound to headphones, it works but I cannot change the volume. When I try to change the sound, the mute/silenced sign appears on the screen. Does anyone know why? Merci for your help.

Ah wait, I read the question wrong, when the mute/silent oak comes, you have to switch off mute on the remote control. The headphone setting is correct, then you should be able to adjust the volume via the remote control. Why you are still reading something is a mystery to me...
A little pushing around always helps:)

Hi,
Try switching the sound to external speakers, maybe it will work then.
I connected my system via AUX, it's actually the same principle.
