Does the fan run during simple tasks such as browsing, Word or even watching YouTube?
I have to use my laptop during lectures in small rooms with few people and don't want them to be disturbed.

The fan is barely audible, at least in the applications I was using. I can't say how it behaves under full load.

In my opinion, it is not loud during office tasks and surfing. Only when games are played can the device be heard. Lenovo Vantage can also be tweaked a little.
