Unfortunately, the SIM card didn't work for me. I still had reception when I inserted it, but unfortunately not in Italy. Or do I have to activate something in the app? If I have missed this, will my 30 days still expire?

Yes, also the APN settings. Everything as in the instructions. With my Swiss SIM card, I at least had network (antenna symbol), even without roaming. That didn't work with this SIM card. I downloaded the app, but then did nothing more in it (except the "wilkommen tour"). It didn't work on my partner's phone either.
