Hello, the "Optical" output delivers a digital signal. You need to use a digital to analog converter, a "dac audio converter", that is to say a "Digital to Analog Converter". There are several on the market. The "LINKFOR Dac Audio Converter" looks really good because it uses the TV's USB port for power (no need to plug in) and has an RCA and headphone output.
