Question about Denon AVR-X1600H
Hello, I would like to buy an AV receiver for the first time. How do you actually operate your device? I'm thinking mainly of changing sources (TV, radio, Spotify) or adjusting the volume. Do you use a universal remote control? And can you hide the receiver in a drawer in the TV furniture, or should it be open? Thank you & greetings

I have my system connected to an iPod and just switch it on in the morning and off in the evening. in the meantime I have no other problems. Setting it up without a TV is simply not possible and therefore it is mandatory to have a TV connected. just because of all the configuration. In my opinion, the Denon app is completely out of place and unfortunately doesn't really facilitate anything. It is suitable for hiding in any case, but it doesn't have to be.
I do not operate the unit at all, it switches on/off with the TV. Only sound modes and source have to be changed with the remote control.
I find the Denon Remote app unacceptable for such a large company.
Volume via TV remote
Spotify via smartphone to smartTv, as my receiver (older model) is very cumbersome as far as Spotify, bluetooth and wifi are concerned.
If you have such a beautiful device, you should show it off, otherwise the infrared remote control won't work😉.
