Hello, I see the following information in the specifications: Gaming / AMD Freesync Premium Pro, nVidia G sync I've been to the manufacturer's site and I can't find any references to the "nVidia G Sync". Is this a mistake? Or does the screen really manage nVidia technology? Thank you for your reply.
The display has Adaptive Sync, which is the general term for G-Sync and Freesync. Adaptive Sync works with most Nvidia graphics cards and all AMD graphics cards. However, the monitor is not a G-Sync monitor in the sense that it does not have a G-Sync module.
I can personally assure you that Adaptive Sync will certainly work from the RTX 3000 series onwards. It simply has to be activated manually in the Nvidia Control Panel.
There are reports that it did not work correctly with the first firmware. However, mine, with the latest firmware from the end of October, on an RTX 3080 via HDMI 2.1 (port 2), works correctly.
Also worked perfectly with Gsync on my RTX 3080. Just upgraded PC to RX7900XTX. Now AMD Prosync also works perfectly, even with DP 2.1 which unlocks the 240hz limit. However, the setting to DP 2.1 had to be activated on the monitor because it was not recognised automatically.
Hello "andrew428".
Thank you very much for your comprehensive reply, which has given me a clearer picture of my question.
I wish you a good day.
