Question about Philips Viva Collection HR2657/91 CH-Version

Hello, I have read that the upper part of the shredder should not be cleaned with water (it is supposedly even noted on the part in the form of a symbol/relief). There are even videos that show that there is water in the gearbox that cannot be removed - is this true? How else should the part be cleaned? Thanks for your feedback! Greetings.

Hello, we always wash things with water, but the rod (motor) is certainly not to be put in water or washed in the dishwasher. However, rubbing it with a wet cloth and then drying it has not been a problem at all so far.
