Salut, Flütech! On the device I bought, TomTom GO Basic (6"), the holder is firmly fixed to the device and the attachment to the car window works perfectly. You don't need a separate holder for it. The device I bought in January replaced an old TomTom, also with a fixed holder. Unfortunately, I am not at all satisfied with the battery performance of the new TomTom, it is currently in the Galaxus customer service centre with my error message! Make sure you get good battery performance, it's annoying when the thing keeps shutting down and has very little autonomy without being connected to a power source.
