Here is an absolute layman's question about radio technology, can more of the same type be coupled to the two radio units included? I would like to be able to radio with 6 to 8 people but I am not sure if this works.

Yes, this is possible without any problems. The channels can be changed, so radio communication is also possible with other devices in this frequency range.
