The HM generation of Hoymiles requires a special, registered wireless communication module.

A DTU is needed for this. But there is also an open source project Ahoy - https://ahoydtu.de/. For this, you need some HW, which is very cheap. You can then access it directly from your mobile or laptop without having to use an additional cloud solution. The two HW components are available quite cheaply. For the connection, however, you have to (be able to) solder on a few pins.) I still have one left.

This inverter has WLAN. For data readout you have to go via a China server or you can tinker or buy an Ahoy DTU with display for about 50 euros. (Ebay) Works great with the evaluation. Unfortunately I can't attach any pictures. Greetings Roger

Hello, this inverter communicates wirelessly, I don't know if wifi or bluetooth but it needs a gateway to send the data back to the application.
According to this model :
Hoymiles DTU-Pro Lan data transfer unit, WLAN, S-Miles Cloud.
