I have used a Sandisk Extreme PRO, 1000GB, M.2 2280. It works perfectly.
Your Toschiba has similar technical data and should therefore also work.
Please note that a new drive is not automatically recognised, but must be defined as a primary partition in the disk management (as NTFS) and then also formatted.

Good evening. According to XG3 M.2 SSD, 1.0TB (THNSN51T02DU7) the adapter should work for sure. I have installed a Samsung, but the performance is not the same as when it is installed directly on the PCI bus.
