Hello, the S1 socket is what connects your processor to your motherboard. What you need to check is that your processor socket is the same as your motherboard. For this one, it's only Intel Ultra processors (5, 7, 9). The S1 socket is just the system for attaching it.
In any case, I've bought this board and an Intel Ultra processor and all is well.
