Question about WD Red Plus
Hello together What is the minimum runtime the hard drive should last when in 24/7 operation?
I have had four of them in my Qnap server running 7/24 for more than 5 years. And they are still running flawlessly.
They should last the warranty period either way. My oldest WD drives are about 7 years old and still work. I replace most of them between 5 and 6 years. Depends on the usage and whether 24/7 is really 24/7 rotating or standby.
