Hello together Do I understand this correctly? If I cut off 2m of the 5m, I can throw away the remaining 3m because you can't connect it anyway? Best thanks

Yes, if you know how to solder you can attach a plug to the section again, then you just need a second power supply and a controller.
If you can't/won't do this, then the section is useless.
You can use the following accessories to connect the LEDs without soldering etc. Simply cut away the rubber and clamp them together. Works perfectly. I have just equipped my daughter's room with LEDs on the ceiling. Maximum length 10 metres. So you don't have to throw anything away!
