Question about Lindy Network cable

Hello :-) The new cable only lets through about 9000kb download, and it keeps losing contact (my laptop keeps switching to WLAN). I bought it because of the colour (black) - it looks more inconspicuous than the 'old' yellow cable, but it lets the right amount of data through in the speed test (20'000kb download). I can't imagine at all that a patch cable is defective ex works, but I really don't have any other explanation... Or is it just 'too weak on the chest'? (The old yellow one is a Cat6 SSTP)

I have no problems with my cable. But I also see no reason to believe that the QA department at the manufacturer discovers 100% of all production faults. Shit happens.

The cable is definitely Gigabit Ethernet capable and works fine for me. The drop to 10Mbit/s indicates that not all wires are in contact, i.e. there is a problem with the cable or the connectors (possibly also the connector on the device). If I understand you correctly, you can switch back and forth between the two cables and the problems are only with the black one. Then it is certainly the new cable and I would have it exchanged.

I don't remember how the cable was packaged, but some manufacturers use wire to hold it together, which can cut and damage the cable. Also, the contacts on the plug may be damaged or fall out completely.
