Hello ne question, so if I have a 10gb line and use this switch with it, the speed at the output ports decreases to 1 GB for connected devices or am I seeing this wrong?

Correctly recognised. If you attach this switch to your 10GB router, then each device attached to the switch will not use more than 1GB (or less).

Every chain is only as strong as its weakest link.... You need a switch that can pass at least 10Gbit!
