According to the service manual, a 2.5" cover is required for mounting an HDD/SSD. If a second HDD is not already installed ex works, this mounting and the screws will be missing. 
There are the following options: 1.) order this mount on the bay or via Swissparts (according to HP Partsurfer: 827027-001 around 20 Swiss francs); 2.) "glue" the disc in place with double-sided (removable) adhesive tape - with an SSD it needs at most 1x1cm; 3.) "clamp" the HDD in place with cut-to-size cork plates. 
To the second question: any commercially available SATA 2.5" SSD with a maximum height of 9.5mm will fit in it. 
Have a look at your tube, there are countless videos there.
There is also the possibility of replacing the existing M.2 SDD with a larger SSD via "cloning".
