Question about Garmin Forerunner 245 Music
Hello, is there a sports watch that runs without a smartphone? How important are the watch updates that I have to do via the smartphone? (I have a Linux operating system, so I cannot install Garmin express). Thanks for the answers
As far as I know, all Forerunner watches allow direct access to the file system via USB. So you can import the *.fit files into pytrainer or upload them to Strava.
I used my old Garmin Forerunner for three years and the 245 for about a month without any problems. This way mach also keeps control of personal data.
I don't know how to upload updates to the watch either.
In principle, the Forerunner 245 works without a smartphone, but then I question the usefulness of the sports watch, as most of the analyses in the associated app are only really comprehensive there.
