Hello, I would like to upgrade a PC that has become a bit old. Currently, a GTX 1060 with an i7-2600@3400 is running on an ASUS board. The plan would be to replace the board, processor and RAM (MSI MPG X570 Gaming Plus, Ryzen 7 3700x, Corsair vengence LPX 2x8gb). Can I continue to run my 1060, which is actually sufficient, in this board with the above-mentioned components?

Hi there,
I recently swapped my Asus B350-A board and Ryzen 5 1600 for the MSI X570 Gaming Plus and a Ryzen 7 3800x. The swap worked without any problems, if you have several hard disks, you should only connect the disk with the operating system during the first boot so that the system can find Windows better, then the second boot with all disks connected was no problem. All data was still available and no BIOS update was necessary. The board runs quietly, apart from the occasional cranking up of the chipset fan during more demanding games/work. Even the four RAM bars (Patriot Viper 4x 8GB 3200Ghz Cl 16) run cleanly. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the graphics card, as I have a super rtx 2060 installed, but as a rule there shouldn't be any problems.

I don't think there should be any problems because the graphics card and the meainboard have matching PCI Express x16 connectors. the rest I think just install the latest drivers and it should work.
