Hello, I would like to increase the storage capacity of my HP ProBook 450 G4 to 1TB, are the 2.5 disks compatible? Thank you in advance for your reply, Sincerely
Hello,
I can't answer your question, because I have never increased the memory of my Notebook.
To save my important documents, I use 2 external hard drives, which I plug into one of the USB
of the computer.
I practice this way:
- On the desktop (computer) I have a folder called "Pending".
- As soon as I create an important file, I immediately transfer it to this folder, along with a backup
on a USB stick (in case the computer has a problem).
Later, in my spare time (maybe 1 month), I take my files that are pending in the "Pending" folder
to sort them out and create one or more folders for these files and finally save them
on the 2 external hard drives at my disposal.
Once the transfer to the external disks is complete, I delete the contents of the "Pending" folder on the desktop and also the contents of the USB stick.
the contents of the USB stick. Space is available for the next files or folders.
As a result, the computer's hard drive never reaches its maximum capacity.
I don't even trust the Microsoft, Google etc. cloud for backup.
I practice the same way with my desktop computer. Just in case, a computer reset is necessary,
I can reload all my personal files. I have nothing lost.
I am not an expert, but is the 2.5 disk compatible with the BIOS?
Also, maybe the drivers need to be upgraded?
If you buy a product from a brand like HP (Hewlett Packard) you are lucky to have a "Support Assistant" on the bottom right hand side of the computer.
on the computer at the bottom right of the screen.
Therefore, you can send your request directly to HP's specialised services.
Best regards.
