Hello, I have just bought the Philips Hue Play Gradient starter kit which I would like to install on a 77" TV. Is it effective like the Philips Ambilight TVs or would you recommend the LED ribbon at the back? Thank you

Hello, I have mounted it on a Samsung 100" TV. So that it goes around the TV, I have a distance of about 25-30cm from the edge of the TV. The effect is fabulous and I wouldn't want to be without the Gradient Stiip. You have to combine the individual LED strips in the app for it to work. With the Gradient Strip, simply install and get started. The Gradient Strip is also slightly angled so that it projects onto the wall at an angle. The straight LED bank does not have this. And the Gradient Strip comes with 3 brackets for guiding/installing. So it's a carefree all-round package. But it costs a little more. You're sure to enjoy it.
